Hunger Games Catching Fire Sam Claflin interview

At the special charity premiere screening of short film compilation Collabor8te, Red Carpet News caught up with handsome Hunger Games star Sam Claflin. Sam plays trident wielding tribute Finnick Odair in Catching Fire and told us what made him fall in love with the character and what fans can expect from the much anticipated Hunger Games sequel.

Sam also spoke about working alongside his beautiful Oscar nominated co-star Jennifer Lawrence. He described the young actress as a ‘diamond’ and a very ‘good friend’.

Sam also confirmed he’d be more than happy to reprise his role as William for a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. The successful fantasy adaptation directed by Rupert Sanders co-starred Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart. Sam praised the originality of process of making the first film and sounds hopeful for a sequel.

BAFTA Film Awards 2013 Winners List

Tonight a dazzling array of stars graced the red carpet for the EE British Academy Film Awards 2013. This year’s BAFTA bash saw the likes of Hugh Jackman, Martin Freeman, Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston and Jennifer Lawrence gather for a ceremony celebrating a truly outstanding year in cinema.

Daniel Day-Lewis and Emmanuelle Riva  landed the top acting prizes; while  Anne Hathaway & Christoph Waltz took home honours in the supporting categories.

Argo won best film and best director, while Michael Haneke’s Amour unsurprisingly secured  best foreign language film.
