Leonard DiCaprio recently made a very public announcement that he intended to take an indefinite break from acting to focus on his working on global campaigns to save the environment. Â However, he already seems to have been lured back to work with the prospect of a lead role in The Road Home.
Based on a novel by Michael Armour and set during the Great depression, the film would see DiCaprio playing a Californian rancher who decides to investigate a murder the police have chosen to ignore, with scandalous consequences.
Crazy Heart writer-director Scott Cooper will be adapting the novel and directing. Cooper will also take a producer role alongside DiCaprio and his Appian Way production company.
