At the red carpet opening night performance of controversial new musical hit The Book Of Mormon we caught up with Downton Abbey Stars Brendan Coyle, Lesley Nicol and Sophie McShera.

The cast of the wildly popular BBC series offered their opinions on why the nation remains so deeply fascinated with period drama. They also spoke a little about what fans can expect form the new 4^th season currently being filmed and why they love being involved in the show so much.

Brendan Coyle in particular who plays valet Bates admitted that even though he’s only seen scripts for half of the new episodes he thinks that the new series of Downton Abbey looks set to be the best yet.
