Simon Cowell Set For X Factor UK Return?
According to former contestants Jedward, Simon Cowell may be planning a sensational return for the final of this year’s UK X-Factor competition. Although it’s hard to know exactly how much faith to put in what the hyperactive musical twins have to say. During a typically lively interview backstage at the BAFTA Children’s Awards in London, where the boys presented an award, they casually let slip they’d heard news of Simon’s return impending.
In another chat on the red carpet earlier that night Jedward also claimed they’d been invited themselves to perform on the final of the Swedish X-Factor. The instantly recognizable musical stars also have a third album and a new TV show on the way.

David Jason Confirms New Terry Pratchett Project
Sir David Jason speaking backstage at the BAFTA Children’s Awards Ceremony in London has confirmed that he will potentially star in a third Terry Pratchett project, having previously played Albert in The Hogfather and bumbling Wizard Rincewind in The Colour Of Magic.
Sir David revealed that the final pieces of funding where falling into place to make the new dramatization a reality.

Marvel Starts Guardians Of The Galaxy Casting
Marvel has started the casting process for their new space adventure Guardians Of The Galaxy, introducing audiences to a new range of comicbook heroes and most likely Avengers 2 main villain Thanos.
The search for a leading man to play the heroic Star Lord has begun in earnest with a wide range of rising stars being considered for the part.
Eddie Redmayne, Jim Sturgess, Joel Edgerton, Lee Pace and Jack Huston are reported to be testing for the role already; with James Marsden, Garrett Hedlund and Sullivan Stapleton also jostling for contention. The studio is clearly still refining its vision of exactly what they’re looking for in the key role.
Flight of The Navigator Remake Has New Script & Director
Flight Of the Navigator is a cult classic 1986 sci-fi film about a young boy who is abducted by a well-meaning alien spaceship that accidentally returns him to earth 8 years later. The unlikely pair has to learn to work together, to avoid government capture and find a way back to his family.
The original film featured ground-breaking special effect work and won a devoted fanbase despite mixed reviews. In 2009 Wild Hogs & Yogi Bear writer Brad Copeland produced a script for Disney for an intended remake, but it failed to excite the studio and stalled production.
Disney have now turned to Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, the team behind indie time travel comedy-drama Safety Not Guaranteed. The pair will re-write the script with the intention that Trevorrow will ultimately take on directing responsibilities for the project.
New Star Wars Films Include Spin-Offs
Contrary to previous reports it seems that screenwriters Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg may not be providing scripts for Star Wars Episodes VIII and IX. Whilst the pair has been recruited by Disney to work on Star Wars projects, these may in fact be spinoffs focusing on minor characters from the existing Star Wars universe, as opposed to chapters in the new trilogy to follow Michael Arndt’s Episode VII script.
Disney has yet to comment officially on the reports but the news does fit into their clear ambitions to explore and exploit every facet of the franchise in search of good storytelling and a swift return on their $4 billion dollar investment.
