Who Framed Roger Rabbit Sequel News
Director Robert Zemeckis has spoken about his hopes of making a sequel of groundbreaking live-action/cartoon comedy classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. Zemeckis confirmed that not only does a script already exist but that he’d be happy to go into production with it.
“I’m happy with the script, it’s very good! If I were to do the sequel, it would be done just like the first one. It would look the same way, but we would present it in 3D in its release. I would do all of the animation hand-drawn; 2D, but using 3D tools. It wouldn’t be like Pixar 3D, It wouldn’t look like that… this would again be another period movie.”
Fans of the much beloved original will be delighted to hear that although inevitably featuring 3D technology, any sequel would remain faithful to the look and feel of the first film.
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Gets Animated Movie
Diary of A Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney confirmed at its UK Premiere event, that the current third live action film Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Dog Days will be the last live action film made, at least with the current cast .
However in news sure to delight fans of the international bestselling series which has sold over 75 million books worldwide, Jeff also announced that there will now be an animated Diary of A Wimpy Kid holiday special, based on the sixth book in the series Cabin Fever.
Production will start soon in time for next Christmas 2013. As for the future of the live action films, Jeff admitted that while Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days will be the last film made with the current cast, in the future it may be possible to start the film series again with a new, necessarily younger cast.

Hugh Jackman Joins X-Men Days Of Future Past
Bryan Singer continues to add familiar faces to the cast of the next X-Men Film Days of Future Past. Following on from the successful franchise reboot X-Men First Class the new film will apparently re-unite much of the cast of the original X-Men trilogy.
It’s already been confirmed that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen will reprise their iconic roles as Professor X and Magneto, playing older versions of the characters alongside James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender’s young mutants. Now Hugh Jackman has entered into talks to play Wolverine for a seventh time.
Jackman made a brief cameo as the adamantium clawed hero in First Class and could be set for a bigger role in Days Of Future Past. Wolverine played a prominent role in the original comic issues which have inspired the new script, but it is expected that the focus will remain largely on the young cast of First Class. Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult will both reprise their roles as shape-shifter Mystique and furry scientist Beast.
Meanwhile Jackman is finishing production on The Wolverine, a second solo adventure for Wolverine set in Japan, directed by James Mangold.
Entourage Movie Has Script & Possible Director
HBO’s long running TV series Entourage, often described as the male equivalent of Sex and the City, will now finally get its own big screen outing. Since the final eighth series ended plans for an Entourage movie had long been rumoured. Director Julian Farino has now confirmed that series creator Doug Ellin has finished a draft of the film script with the entire cast excited to finally make the film a reality.
The award winning series focused on the exploits of a rising film star Vince Chase, (played by real life star Adrian Grenier) following his efforts to navigate the vapid terrain of Hollywood superstardom with the help of his trusty friends and foul mouthed super-agent Ari Gold.
Julian Farino directed a large chunk of the series and more episode than any other director. He admitted that he’d love to be involved in the new film and would be excited about the opportunity to re-join the family and direct the movie.

Christopher Eccleston Talks Doctor Who Anniversary
Christopher Eccleston abandoned his role as the 9th Doctor after just one series, having successfully breathed new life into long running and much beloved British sci-fi franchise Doctor Who. With the 50th anniversary of the show rapidly approaching, speculation about how the show would mark the occasion has been intense. With many suggesting that it was inevitable that it may feature a unique return for some of the Doctor’s previous incarnations.
Although some of the earlier Doctor’s would have a hard time reprising their roles after so many years, both David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston could jump back into the Tardis with relative ease.
Speaking at a special screening of new Hugh Laurie comedy The Oranges, Christopher Eccleston remained coy over his possible involvement, admitting that he hasn’t even seen any of the recent series with latest 11th Doctor Matt Smith in the role.
Though seeming to distance himself from the role, Eccleston did tease about his possible involvement in the anniversary episode responding that ‘I’d have to kill you if I told you’ with a typically cheeky grin.
Only time will tell what Steven Moffat has planned but it certainly going to be a landmark episode in the iconic series in any case.
