George Clooney In Talks for 1952

George Clooney is in talks  for the lead role in 1952 the long-delayed science fiction project from Director Brad Bird. With a script from Damon Lindelof and Jeff Jensen the new film has been ambitiously compared to Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, with a plot surrounding a man’s contact with alien life.

Disney has high hopes for 1952 but has yet to officially green-light production, with a potential stumbling block being their commitment to churn out a new Star Wars Trilogy as soon as possible.

Clooney is currently starring in and directing The Monuments Men, boasting a glittering cast that includes Daniel Craig, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Cate Blanchet and Jean Dujardin.
